Interested in learning about how to engage in activism, organize and build momentum all while staying true to Islam? Join us with guest speaker, Sukaina Hussein from Faith in the Valley, on Jan 28th in 1322 Storer Hall to learn about the fundamentals of community organizing! No prior experience or knowledge is necessary to attend — we hope this event serves as an avenue for everyone to learn as being Muslims in the West throws challenges at us that we must know how to prophetically organize around. The MSA takes on activism as an obligation as the Prophet ﷺ said: “If the end of the world approaches and one of you has a seedling (or plant) in his hand, if he can plant it before the end comes let him do it” (Ahmad).
